Lawrence Havriliak

Pianist and baritone soloist Lawrence Havriliak (25 August 1927 - 25 August 2013) sang with the Jaroff's Don Cossack Chorus touring Europe in 1953 - 1954. His appearance with the Ridgewood Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company in 1957 and as soloist in Handel's Messiah and Mendelsohn's Elijah have made him familiar to music lovers in both New York and New Jersey communities. Later on he became also director of the Rockland County Choral Sciety and has conducted this group of 45 voices in successful concerts, for example in the Brahm's Requiem and the Cherubini Requiem Mass in C Minor.
