First edition?

This could not be a first edition. The first stamper of 1901 was modified with a raised ring surrounding the label area and stamped in catalogue number to create the stamper for this disc in 1903 or a little later.

Does a stamper II copy without CO. marking exist of this disc?

The old scratched in catalogue number is still visible below the stamped in number. My explanation is, that only one stamper could be grown from the wax original in 1901, and was in continuous use until then.

Would you please elaborate your explanation? I do not understand why there is a new catalogue number over the old one. It looks like it is the same number...

Only pressings until autumn 1902 had scratched in catalogue numbers. In late 1902 or early 1903 the scratched in numbers were replaced by identical, but raised/stamped numbers.

Оценка

Мне нравится человек, что оценил"звук" и "картинку" этой пластинки. Как может этот человек её оценивать, если Художественную и Коллекционную ценность не определил! Что в таком случае он знает?? И в праве он это делать??
Может я не прав??

Я думаю, что и картинка и звук сделаны очень хорошо, а коллекционная и художественная ценности выше всяких критериев.

Этот разговор вернул меня к ранее уже озвученной идее заменить все оценки на более простые: нравится - не нравится.

То, что не нравится больше будет показываться тому, кому не нравится. А то что нравится можно будет отдельно проигрывать в "музыкальном автомате".

Неверная оцифровка

Ария Лизы "Ах, истомилась я горем" написана Чайковским в ля миноре. В данной записи звучит в до миноре, т.е. малой терцией выше. Поскольку оперные арии транспонировать нельзя (в отличие от романсов), то вывод - оцифровано не верно. Ошибка в оцифровке искажает голос исполнительницы, делая его предельно высоким, слишком "сопрановым". А у Медеи Фигнер все же была не колоратура.
