Вопрос.
Это студийная запись, или звуковая фонограмма фильма, записаная на пластинку?

60-1898 is the catalogue number; matrix number should be 0D 800-1, recorded february 19th 1932. The singer is John Hendrik.
And what is Russian or Austrian about this record?

I am not sure about Austrian, but the composer is Nikolaus Brodsky. He was born in Odessa, so he is Russian, right? Also this song with Russian lyrics became as popular in Russia as, say, Austrian song "O, du lieber Augustin" in Germany. Following is an example

Brodszky Miklós (Miklós Louis Brownstein) was indeed born in Odessa that at the time belonged to the Russian Empire, but his parents were Hungarian and so was he.
Interesting that a song written and interpreted by Hungarian artists (Alpár Gitta sang it originally) in a German movie, became popular in a Russian version 8 years later…
