"Hed-Arzi" (הד ארצ) was the oldest Israeli recording label. Company Hed Arzi Ltd. was founded in Tel Aviv in 1948. Founders: Zvi Levin (also known as Hirsch Lewin), ex-owner of book store and recording studio "Semer" in Berlin until 1930s, with J. Grossman, A. Borowitz and E. Ruttenberg.H ed-Arzi issued mainly Jewish/Israeli music (including reissues of "Semer" recordings), but also Arabic and Russian music performed by the local artists. Company's name means in Hebrew "The echo of my country". The label is still existing (corrently owned by NMC United). Old logo (text "הד ארצי" on a five-lines staff) was in use until 1990s.
