I think what you are calling 'electroorgan' is actually what is called in English a Theatre or Cinema organ.

These had electric actions - the valves were operated electronically - but were basically pipe organs. They used high pressure air unlike the classical organ, and were invented in England and first popularised by Wurlitzer. They became very popular in cinemas in the silent film era and for ten or twenty years afterwards.

I am interested in how this came to be in Soviet Russia. It must have been bought and brought to Russia before the revolution, or maybe after, or it was made in Russia based on a western model.

I think that this Cinema organ was never brought to the USSR - most likely the record was just copied from an existing Western original.

I quickly searched the Internet and found this page with Schon Rosmarin (Fair Rosemarin) performed by Howard Jacobs -Saxophone solo & Sydney Torch - organ. May be it is the original? BTW, next to it is listed Liebesfreud (Love's Joy) performed by the same artists - it looks like the other side of this record!

Sidney Torch was a famous cinema organist. His real name was Torchinskii and he must have come from the famous Russian musical family.

I just received confirmation from Eric Scott who is the owner of the "Vintage Music Shoppe" that his record is the same recording. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask him the label name and catalog No....
