Replying to 'sabatini':
Sorry - I do not have a photo of Grigory/Grisha/Tzvi Cypin/Tzipyn/Tsippin - however one spells it... (I see his name most often Romanized as "Tsypin", and the original [Polish] spelling as ’Cypin’.) I certainly know who he was, but I don’t see what he would have to do with this particular recording?

"Maybe"?
I would like very much to know exactly what information is in that archive, and what the source for that information is!
I can, nonetheless, declare with all but absolute certainty that Cypin is not the clarinetist in question, and that V. Belf himself (if that’s his real name) is the clarinetist of ’Belf’s Romanian Orchestra’ on Syrena records (and on the one Pishushchy Amur record that is presented on this site).
To provide all the reasons and documentary references for this would require an essay-long entry. I think that would grossly exceed the intended purpose for this comment function. Perhaps one of the site editors will weigh in to give us advice on whether and how to further carry on this discussion.
