Этот марш более известен как "Парижский" или "На вступление в Париж 1815 года" (был еще одноименный марш 1814 года, но прусский. Оба их хорошо знали и в России и в Пруссии).
Автор-составитель Антон Антонович Дерфельдт-старший, главный капельмейстер оркестров русской гвардии в 1816-1829 годах.
В Пруссии имеет номер AM II, 28, в оригинальном собрании Дерфельдта (откуда он и попал в Пруссию) №55 том pas acceleres. В Сборнике полковых (встречных) и исторических маршей Российской армии О. Фреймана (1901 год) имеет № 209 (Ф IV, 209) – «Парижский марш 1815 года; главные мотивы почерпнуты из старинной русской пляски».
В.И.Тутнов считает, что марш построен на украинских мотивах, есть интонационные связи с песней "Дощiк" и "Лопнул обруч", а немецкие музыковеды отмечают, что трио построено на теме из оперы "Люсиль" французского композитора Гретри.
