This is Nicolai Figner's one and only 12-inch recording for the Gramophone and Typewriter. Surprisingly, it was issued with a black label instead of the Celebrity Red label. The selection was recorded in 1903. Note the matrix number 1y, indicating that William Sinkler Darby was the recording engineer. |
