Этот фокс-марш был написан специально к финалу джаз-спектакля "Музыкальный магазин". Музыку написал Исаак Осипович Дунаевский, а слова - Владимир Захарович Масс и Николай Робертович Эрдман.

Фактическим продолжением этого джаз-спектакля стал кино-фильм "Весёлые ребята".
