Origin of the song
The origin of the words is in a poem named Удалец, written by Sergey Riskin in 1882.
Mikhail Shishkin arrangrd the tekst to fit this melody.
The origin of the melody is disputed; some say it’s an old Gipsy one.
Others say Shishin composed it.
