The melody is based on that traditional Scottish song.

I didn't expect such a fine voice and singing, in addition to the vocal characterisation I did expect. With these gifts, why wasn't he more famous?

Thank you so much for the identification! I've added this information to the description of the record.
As for me, the gentle talent of Victor Khenkin was not of those easily becoming famous and popular; here, for example, he was shadowed by Alexander Vertinsky.
