Дополнительная информация:

George Nikolaivich Procofieff de Seversky 1895-1972

A testament to a man’s character is the ability to make his own mark in this world while standing in the presence of greatness.

This essay serves as an acknowledgement of the talents of the Late George Nikolaivich Procofieff de Seversky. He was the son of Nikolai and Vera, a brother to Alexander and Nika and dedicated husband to (Elizabeth) Renée.

George fought alongside his father and brother as an ace pilot while serving in the Imperial Russian Navy in World War I. After the Russian Revolution, he and his father Nikolai joined the Whites to continue the battle against the Communist Red Party. When the fight was finished he immigrated to France where he lived for many years with his wife Renée.

George’s skill as a pilot and aeronautical engineer was mirrored by his talent as a gifted composer, musician, and baritone vocalist. His guitar left his hands only when it was replaced by the stick and rudder of an aircraft.

While living and performing in Paris, George was noted for flying daily in his Gypsy Moth airplane to London to perform there as well.

In 1950 George came to America. He worked with his brother, Major Alexander P. de Seversky, proponent of military air power, whose quest was achieving superiority in aeronautical engineering innovation and design.

The world steps aside to let any man pass if he knows where he is going.

Years continue to go by since the world lost the genius of George Nikolaivich Procofieff de Seversky, but his song forever lives on.

“Pray my Kinsman”—by George Seversky.

(The above essay was compiled by George Seversky’s niece, Diane)
